Congratulations | Prof. Y. Martin Lo and Dr. Ding-Yan Lin of Our College Recognized in the Green Sustainability Category of the National Development Council’s “Startup Blossom – Entrepreneurship Alliance Competition”

Prof. Y. Martin Lo, a full-time faculty member of our college, together with postdoctoral researcher Dr. Ding-Yan Lin, led their research team to participate in the National Development Council’s “Startup Blossom – Entrepreneurship Alliance Competition.” Competing in the Green Sustainability category, the team distinguished itself among numerous outstanding participants nationwide, successfully advancing to the Top 100 and receiving the Blossom Award. This remarkable achievement highlights our college’s excellence in sustainable technology innovation, research commercialization, and entrepreneurial practice.

This year’s competition attracted an impressive 2,805 applications from across Taiwan, including 1,547 corporate entries and 1,258 team entries. After highly competitive preliminary and semifinal rounds, only 100 groups were selected, consisting of 81 corporate teams and just 19 non-corporate teams. As an academic research team rather than an established company, Prof. Y. Martin Lo and Dr. Ding-Yan Lin’s advancement into the Top 100 was particularly remarkable, demonstrating their team’s exceptional capabilities in green sustainability technology, innovative applications, and entrepreneurial potential.

Prof. Y. Martin Lo and Dr. Ding-Yan Lin have long been dedicated to sustainable technology and green innovation research. By integrating academic expertise with practical market demands and industry applications, they successfully transformed their research achievements into a highly promising innovation model, earning strong recognition from the competition’s judging panel. Our college extends its sincere congratulations to Prof. Y. Martin Lo and Dr. Ding-Yan Lin on this distinguished achievement.
